Can not download pictures from my camera Rebel XSI on the computer?

It worked before, but now does not do it. A screen would pop up and I would download it select all or what I download (EOS Utility) wanted to. Now it is not let me do that. The camera says only concerned about ten seconds, then it disappears and I do not have the ability to download pictures on my computer. Help please?
