I wanted to know if I should bring it to repair, Best Buy or go to a canon of your location …
I think your best bet is to bring it to Canon, but do not get your expectations too high as this can be a costly repair. You are right, drops are not covered by the warranty and Last time I was trying to let the service on a Canon S410, they claim more than $ 200 so I decided to get him to fix my own (not recommended if you have a technical know-how have) and it succeeded.
