What camera should I get SD780 IS Canon PowerShot or Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W350?
Which is the best HD video quality and picture quality? And what is the best overall?
Canon PowerShot SD780IS12.1 MP digital camera with 3x optical zoom, image stabilizer and 2.5-inch LCD https: / / www.amazon.com/dp/B001T9NUQM?tag=0891-20&camp=213381&creative=390973&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B001T9NUQM&adid = 0CR06R0S1XP9V27DK5M3 & Review: I bought this Canon out on a whim, now already at Best Buy. I have been tinkering with it for most of the evening. SD300 my recent works more like a champion, but I have a video camera test for some time … After a few peering at the camera counter, I wandered past the point and shoot table … What first drew me to the SD780IS their presence was standing on the ad. The sleek matte-black body is very much in the eye … then I saw the information. and realized that the video shot in HD! (1280×720) Then all the other attributes made clear to me that it was time to update to my "anytime, anywhere" Camera. I went to some of the other Canon SD cameras. The SD960 was the other candidates … It has a little more glass (4x) zoom zoom, the SD780's (3x). The SD960 has an attractive f2.8 apeture on the SD780 is f3.2. The SD960 is the screen for the HD cut video capture, as it has a 16:9 LCD panel. (Kinda nice for immediate viewing on the camera) On reflection, I went with the SD780 for these reasons: 1 The HD video function is great and comparable, with the SD960. It has an HDMI jack. The traditional 4:3 screen bothers me not because the video will ultimately be viewed on an HD TV. (There is an upper and lower bar on a 16:9 playback through the SD780 Use LCD). 2.The weaker 3X zoom is not a big deal as this camera for general shooting (out w / Freinds, bars, casual afternoon at the beach, mountain biking, etc.) and with this camera, easliy installed in my jeans pocket or Camelbak, is the portability, which is me the opportunity to record those moments that might otherwise be overlooked. The SD960 is a little thicker (but still small). I do also shoot a Canon 40D with Optics L accompanied, but not to lend the weight and bulkiness to specific circumstances filming. (As above, extra point) 3 The user interface on the SD780IS is like the Most (if not all?) before cameras SD. Although there is not much control by acquisition settings, such as flash-button override function, AE lock, AF lock, and the Exposure compensation are on the camera body. The SD960IS has two buttons and a jog wheel, which floats on loan from the menu. I'm sure the new interface on the 960 is intuitive, but I liked the 780 for its similarity to my old SD300. I am very satisfied with the results produced so far with the SD780IS. The HD video is very good but you must know that you are after may be the only record digital zoom. Low light and sound cabilities Video mode is excellent. The stills I've taken great . Look Also, the price-conscious, the update from older digital point-and-shoots, Class 4 minimum of 4 GB or 8 GB SDHC card would be suitable, by the memory to demanding 12.1 million pixels and HD video. Also, most of the old card readers do not handle the SDHC cards so you may also need to purchase a new Reader how. I must mention again … the small size of the Canon SD780IS is overwhelming … and the functionality actually mirror its beauty.
