Parts Option
Can I Mainboards different style notebook or parts from one notebook to another swap fix it?
My Compaq Presario then switches off immediately. I went through some HP online diagnostics, I was told that the mother board grounding out. I have a Dell notebook, I can use to exchange when parts is an option.
Depends on what parts you want to share. And as far as the motherboard would have to see if would be the motherboard from the Dell system also fit in the Compaq. And since 9 out of 10 in the Housing will be different you do not have any luck with that. Most vendors have fixed some of your current notebook and they are not too expensive. I would give you recommend checking with Compaq / HP to see if it as a refurbished motherboard and replace it. If the system is under warranty and of course I would they replace.
