What is a good amount of megapixels for a digital camera?
I have never bought one before. I used to be a search for pics up of up to everyday Species. I need a professional photo. Expensive, I see a higher megapixel's. I would not not a cheap. What is a good choice in purchasing?
The amount of megapixels you need all depends on how big you are you will eventually print the images. If you think you're going to print your photos sufficient, a 6 x 4-inch frame suit or 8 x 10, then a 5-megapixel camera would. But just so you know that megapixels alone do not determine how good a camera, it is more to do with the lens and how well the sensor. Look for a sensor that is less noisy in a dark place, and you should. Good luck!
