DSLR / digital camera better picture?
Hi, I'm buying a decent camera, the camera pictures would be even better, a 6-megapixel DSLR or An 8-Megapixel Digital Camera interested? What is the difference? I look forward to these two cameras, Nikon D40 or Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ 18 were looking for? Which would Do you recommend? Would it make a difference in the time lag in taking a picture? Thank you Jimbo the Noob!
SLR vs. P & S "Single Lens Reflex "means that the camera has only one lens (which is for almost all cameras these days true anyway) and the light follows a" reflex "or reflects Away from the lens through the camera viewfinder and up to the hinschaut where, if you compose your shot. Many years ago there used to be a separate lens for the viewfinder and another for The film will be overexposed. These were called "Twin Lens Reflex" cameras. Therefore, the distinction of "SLR" emerged. Today, an SLR camera always uses still a lens for capturing the image, but the main difference is that the lens can be removed from the camera, so you lenses for different shooting situations can exchange if you wish. For most casual photographers, a general purpose zoom lens satisfies most of the time, but you have the opportunity to to purchase new lenses to the camera several options how to give change to your interests. A point-and-shoot (P & S) camera is set up so that you do not need to know much more than how the camera (the "point" part) target and press the button (the "shoot" part). Although you can use pretty much any SLR in the same way that almost is the limit with many P & S cameras. The user has to control a bit, if desired, but it is usually easier, Stick to the automatic mode for 80-90% of your shots. P & S cameras do not have interchangeable lenses. P & S cameras are usually much smaller than SLR and many of them are small enough to fit in a shirt pocket with ease. For me the biggest difference between the two styles is the image quality. P & S cameras have much smaller Sensors, that is where the camera captures the light to make the image. The larger the sensor, usually, the better the image quality. For a typical 4 "X 6" print of the whole shot, it does not mean a big difference, but if you want to make an enlargement of part of the picture, with the SLR its larger sensor gives a much better result. Most P & S cameras have a sensor that is only about 4 mm x 5 mm. A few have the larger 7 mm x 5 mm Size. Most SLR sensors range from 14.8 mm to 15.5 mm x 22.2 mm x 23.6 mm. (There are some smaller and some larger, though.) That's about 10-to-20 times larger as a P & S sensor. Go here and http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/476181751/ on "All sizes" and then "Original" to see the difference. Read the text for further explanation. Do the same for this pair of photographs: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/1098666030/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/1198936061/ The first is with a Canon Powershot SD900, which is a damn good camera, P & S standards will be included. The second is taken with a Nikon D200, also a prety damn good SLR camera standards, but it could have been with almost every other SLR out there done with similar results. The Same is true for … If you see this in the original size (although they aer both trimmed a bit), you will see that the noise in the Canon Point and shoot really occurred, and it's not really so much detail in the final image. One could make a decent poster from the image of the Nikon D300 DSLR. Canon SD950-IS: Nikon D300 http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/2224679165/: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/2207013005/ Here is another comparison between two 12-MP camera – a point and shoot and a DSLR: Do the same for this pair of photographs: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/2373248772/ http://www.flickr.com / Photos/samfeinstein/2372413161 / With an SLR, there is virtually no delay between pressing the shutter button and the time the camera takes the picture. With a point and shoot, there's always some noticeable delay. Get the D40.
