Is the canon EOS1000D beginners with a 18-55 lens a good choice for an enthusiastic?
I'm getting my first SLR digital camera & want something I can actually get to learn with and depend to a great quality photos .. I was thinking of getting the Nikon D90 choice is obviously very much more … but I found a great offer for the Canon EOS 1000D bundle with a 18-55 lens … the offer was too good to ignore and would help save 1000 ME About $ I'm planning to use it for the next few years two, especially with learning photography skills. What do you recommend professionals? & It is a good camera or should I stay with the Nikon D90? Thank you!
also the D90 is about $ 1,000 in the U.S. and 1350 in Canada, so if you are saving about $ 1,000 as you say, you are always free between the camera and 350, which is pretty damn good. I would go with that one. However, if you had the choice between spending say 1100 for a new Canon t1, or the new Nikon 5000 d, as I did yesterday here in Canada, I would say you would be much better off speding the extra 250 for a camera that you would get if not always, OH <I have the d90! The D90 will not be missing you frustrated with a lack of features available! The Canon xsi (1000d), t1 Nikon 60D or 40 D or the new 5000D is severely limited compared to the Nikon d90. However, I am not a total beginner. The D90 is overkill for someone who knows nothing to say about Aperture controls, and how shutter speed / aperture and ISO are used creatively, and so on and so forth. Even if you just snapshots on a bright sunny Day of your friends and so on, actually, the 1000d all you need to be and is ideal to learn some basic skills.
