Is the Nikkor 70-300mm a good lens?
I have a Nikon D70 and looking for a good lens. I currently use Tamron AF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 LD Tele-Macro (1:3.9) and then most of the kit lens. I just wonder if it would be better than my Tamron. The prices seem too good, so I wonder if it is a bad Lens. Mostly, I will, with the open. I'm really around for a good lens for all. I like the range of my Tamron, but I think one can Nikkor me a better Quality, I'm just wishful thinking here? Any opinions would be great. In addition, this lens would be for mainly? As far as shooting and stuff thanks Do you think it would be foolish for me to buy this lens, since I already have the Tamron? I do not often travel with a tripod, so I think the images would increase in the extended in any case not be so great.
There are 2 Nikkor 70-300mm. 70-300mm AF-G and 70-300mm AF-ed (say G ED lens and lens). The G lens is cheaper than the ED lens. The G lens has no aperture ring, so you would adjust the f-stop to the camera. The ED lens is f-stop ring on, so you can easily adjust, plus it is an ED (an option found only in the professional line) and you can do it for under $ 280.00 is to find the best for portrait.
