Remotes for Digital Rebel XT … Infrared transmitter?
okay so I'm up to buy a remote control for my Canon Digital Rebel XT. and when I click on details for wireless read those, he talks about infrared transmitters somehow get a grip on what that's what the camera is the signal? Do I have something for buy my camera to signal reception by the remote control or is there something built into my Canon Digital Rebel XT, in which the remote control only allows the shutter speed without trouble. please answer! thanks:) <3
If you look at the XT between the shutter and the lens is a small circular sensor. This is where the IR remote control must be met. The disadvantage is that if the sensor can not see, the remote control it will not fire (I've never tried it and it can work with reflections, but I would not rely on it). If you have out with it for self-portraits that fit the bill. Bright sunlight may interfere with the sensor as well, but again did I never tried. I use a cable release and well worth the effort IMHO.
