What are the benefits that will be compared with a DSLR camera, the clumsy one slim digital compact?
I like D-SLR cameras, but it is worth the extra money and the trouble of wearing it, compared to the ease of a compact digital camera?
For 37 years I have so performed many as 3 SLR bodies and up to 7 or 8 lenses, as I wandered around photographing in different places and enjoy photography. Often I have a tripod with me, because you never know when they are needed. Since I do a lot of macro photography and my subjects are not always in the best light, you will usually find a ring flash in my Camera bag. One advantage of a DSLR camera is picture quality because the sensor, on average, like a Sony DSLR-A300 or Canon XSi or Nikon D60 as much as 15 times greater than the Sensor in a digital camera. A 6-megapixel DSLR camera is simply a 10-blow-megapixel digicam with regard to image quality. Another advantage is interchangeable lenses. Its nice to a slow (f4.5) replace zoom with a fast 50mm or 85mm F1.4 lens in low light conditions if you do not want to use flash. Thus, IMO, the benefits are worth the extra weight of a DSLR if you really care about the image quality and flexibility.
