How do I know if Nikon camera is a gray market?

Gray market goods unauthorized importation. It is not wise to buy gray market, because most manufacturers' warranties are region-specific. The user interface and the charger can be different. Indications of gray market goods: – Missing warranty card or 3rd-party service warranty replacement – Product Branding (their brands as Canon P & S cameras with the PowerShot name for the Americas and the IXUS name for Europe) – Missing, incorrect or 3rd party charger / battery – Missing Manuals or manuals for a different language – default UI Language is rare in the region – Missing, illegible, damaged or suspect serial numbers, if you are buying second hand is not really important. Most manufacturer warranties no longer carry the product after a change of ownership. Even buying goods on eBay or other places on the Internet (international auctions, classifieds used, forums, etc.) obviously increases the chance on products from other countries.
